When it comes to making stainless steel, using the right tool is essential to achieve optimal results.

Grinding Techniques offers a complete line of products specially manufactured for all stainless steel cutting, grinding and finishing applications.

One of the most important factors to consider is the non-contamination of the material during application. The Superflex “Inox” range is specially designed for stainless steel. Free of iron, sulfur and chlorine, it will not burn or discolor the material. Available in different diameters and thicknesses, the discs can be selected according to the application.

One popular product is its Superflex Professional Slimline line. These discs are 1.0mm to 2.5mm thick and will provide a clean, fast cut with less or no burrs to rework after cutting. Particularly suitable for thin stainless steel sheets, this product allows effortless cuts with excellent results.

Another versatile product that can be used for both grinding or stock removal, and finishing, are Superflex flap discs – especially useful when it comes to welding applications where a smooth finish and No seam is required after the welding operation. Available in four levels ranging from Evolution suitable for general purpose applications, to Premium Inox specially made for stainless steel to ensure the ultimate surface finish. Made from high-tech, self-sharpening ceramic grains, offering both excellent stock removal and a fresh grind, the Premium range will not discolor or contaminate the material. Grits from 40 to 120 allow a versatile choice to suit almost any application. The Premium range also includes a flap disc suitable for non-ferrous metals.

In addition to cutting and grinding solutions, Grinding Techniques offers a range of coated and non-woven abrasives. Abrasive belts can be manufactured for hand machines, floor or floor machines, stroke sanders as well as wide belt machines. For a brushed finish, opt for finer grained bands.

Nonwoven products are composed of abrasive grains fused to a three dimensional backing of nylon fibers. The even distribution of the abrasive combined with the smoothness of the material ensures a consistent and uniform finish throughout the work process and the life of the product to suit mirror, satin or brushed finish applications.

By blending the stripe pattern with the range of non-woven products, a matte finish can be achieved which can then be reworked into a mirror finish using a range of products ranging from lightweight deburring wheels, buffs, mops and soaps.

Whatever the cutting, grinding or finishing requirements, grinding techniques offer a total custom solution to meet any stainless steel need.
